Robyn and Sean won the Novice, winning the Best Young Horse Trophy too, the same Trophy Pal and Charli have won.
We have been busy but I havent had time to fill diary in but here's what we did this weekend:
20.10.07
Hunting started today!
The girls took Cabbage/Owen + little Apache, 15h + 12h. They took turns + had huge amounts of fun. they jumped everything, the weather was fab, amazingly a little warm for the time of year + fluffy horses, 52 turned out, a very good day was had by all
15.10.07
Weaned the first foal today, Peaches is in foal again and her foal by C Bleddyn look very well, Peaches not so well, Foal is just over 5months, she's happy enough with the gang she's with so I just took Peaches away in the trailer, foal(Eira-she's not white) never said a word. Lovely foal, this year's favorite, just pipping Della's foal Berti by Relmo.

BSJA at Celt n Gael
Smarti + Lucy 1st + 2nd in British Novice with a double clear each, Lucy I think, needs 1 more + Smarti has about 6 or 7 already. They both had double clears in the Discovery/open,unplaced, always good when your bringing novices on, Robyn had joint 3rd on Morgan It'll Do(Tinker)not a whole lot of use as she's out of Disco but we were playing with bits yesterday, she takes such a hold at times that a snaffle doesnt always do, a gag used to be good but she always got sore lips, yesterday we used a pelham, Robyn was very impressed with the sudden super control but by the time she'd got the double down in the newcomer she was asking for the snaffle back! it was off a turn, with a spread as the first element + Tinker was just backing off the bridle but I think Robyn will have learnt a lot. We want to do a lot more with Tinker but she's not got the brakes to do more than Newcomer at the mo.

2nd day out hunting, Smarti and 'Hampster'-Apache, girls had a Fab day. We were talking to Denni that has a son of Danny's, his first day out hunting.
My new years resolution is going to have to be- fill in diary more regularly.
It really doesnt help having no computer of our own at the moment. As we are in the middle of building our new premises, we are living in a caravan so life is a bit basic for now. We are extremely lucky that Susie has such a very nice PC that I can use.
22.12.07
Meirion (Machno) brought use a lovely pair of mares today, Machno Dolores(Carregcoch Bleddyn) + Machno Ramona(Minyffordd Democrat) Ramona is full sister to Rhonwen - we had her a couple of years ago, + Machno
Ramezes - Stena Hoerners lovely dressage pony. With Machno Donnatella who arrived here a fortnight ago we now have three interesting prospects to work with. Dolores is an allrounder/Pclub type, Ramona is a quality 138 that would do anything, lots of talent, intelligent, lovely paces + very sweet. These 2 have been ridden a while now, Donnatella has only just been backed, she seems to be a very clever, mature, big 138.
