All about Me + my Horses

' Abby is 12 and enjoys all aspects of riding; she rides anything she can get her hands on. She mostly rides MELENA MORGAN, a 7yr old 148cm reg Welsh Section D gelding. She competes in BSJA classes, having qualified Morgan for British Novice and Newcomer as well as for Scope 2005+2006. She does Working Hunter M&M with him and Open Workers, They were 3rd  in the Open at Anglesey County last year; this year they were 2nd. Abby is looking forward to Eventing more, and Dressage when we can fit it in. She and Morgan won the Welsh Performance Award Trophy for Showjumping last year, also the Trophy for highest placed Welsh rider. Abby has trained with Ruth Hardacre, and now with Karin Hoerner + Joss Edwards (flatwork) and  Tom Lloyd (jumping). Abby enjoys riding for other people and has won many classes plus a few Championships already. Abby likes Pony Club and she also Hunts as often as poss; she recently won a 'fun' race (on MORRIGAN LUCY TOO) on the beach against other Hunt members and she hopes to race 'properly' in the near future.

my name is Abby, I am 13yrs old + in year 9.
My first pony was called Ebony, a wild 7yr old when she arrived from the Kelly's to be broken in. From the day she arrived I would take people to see her, telling them that she was mine, so my Mum bought her for my Third Birthday present. I tamed her + trained her, + now she is teaching 7yr old Liam.
I now ride Morrigan Lucy Too, my 11yr old welsh partbred mare, Melena Morgan, my 9yr old Sec D welsh cob gelding, Jack, my 3yr old TB x welsh x connemara gelding out of Lucy + Tynwydd Good Friday(Smarti), a 4yr old Sec C cob mare.
I like Showjumping most of all, Dressage, Hunting + backing + bringing on young horses. I've always wanted to Pony Race since I started Hunting 6yrs ago.

I enjoyed the stallion keuring in Den bosch because there was such a variety of techniques coming from different sorts of stallions. The thing I enjoyed the most was when Anky Van Grunsven came in on Painted Blackand showed us a demonstrotion, she also came in on Krack C to do a dressoge to music test. The showjumers were enjoyable too because they were careful and they also enjoyed it to. You could tell tat the audience enjoyd it because every time a good dressage horse or showjumer showed its stuff the people would clap and cheer. There were a lot of VDL stock and many were accepted. Some of the audience dissagreed when some horses werent  accepted.
