When she gets her hands on a computer Abby can fill us in on what she's doing with Morrigan Lucy Too, Melena Morgan, Morrigan Shea (Jack to the rest of us) and she also has Spice, a 2yr old filly by the same stallion as Jack - Kilmullen Fionn.
Eventing:
2007 I started Eventing affiliated for my first time ever at Kelsall hill on the 18th of March on my trusty steed Morgan! I had a great experience and thoroghly enjoyed it. My Dressage score was 46.60 and a double clear with the XC and Showjumping. My position was 15th which I reckon is ok for a first timer when at the age of 12. As the events go on my progress gets better. I had an unfortunate error of course in my 2nd event at stafford but my dressage was an O.K 49.9. Although I learnt my lesson and got myself in 8th at Kelsall hill in my 3rd event with a dressage of 39.0. Improvement! In the summer of 2007 I started work on a difficult but lovely mare named Lucy. My first event on Lucy too ended up in a total result of 155.40. 44.2 for the dressage and 4 falts in the showjumping. I unfortunately also gained an extra 60.0 penalties for shojumping and 35.2 in timepenlties. Not a plesant result! My first ever experience in Somerford Park, Intro on Melena Morgan, lowest dressage score yet, 33.0! But unfortunately i gained 20 pens in the XC and 1.5 time pens. Which ended me up witha total of 54.20. At the end of 2007 I must say that my first year of Eventing was a good one. Full of mistakes that I can learn from and I know what to expect next year.
2008 after the horrible and cold winter I started with Lucy too and Morgan at Rodbaston. This day ended with a dressage score of 35.8 for Melena Morgan and 41.6 for Lucy too. 2008 was a good year put still had plently of room for improvement! One result I was noticing was that Morgans time pens were getting lower showing his fittnes was improving. Also Lucy's Dressage scores were getting lower! Which was amazing because like most mares Lucy wanted her own way all the time! Which also ment that I had to ignore tantrums and arguments. But I still love Lucy to bitts because when she didt poot so much effort into arguing she put so much effort into work! And she was enourmously brave!
2009 Finaly Morgans signs of improvement in the dressage arena meant something. Years of his silly shying came to an end and it finaly clicked in the arena. His Dressage scores came down to an amazing 27 whilst in Kelsall hill in the Pre Novice(BE100). Even though I had Morgans wonderfull Improvements I sadly came to my last year of work with my brave companian Morrigan Lucy too. My highlight with Lucy was that I got a clear in my first BE100 XC with Lucy. Also in 2008 I intoduced a very bright young star Morrigan Shae whom is Lucy's first offspring by Kilmullen Fionn, a grey connemara JA jumping stallion whos full brother jumps for the national irish showjumping team. His first event was Stafford Intro(BE90) 13th March where we had a satisfying score of 42 and a clear cross country. Towards the end of the year Jack calmed down to being a very grown up young man. His best score was a good 35.5 at a very wet and slippery Brandhall.

Dressage:
2009 was a good year for dressage with me and Morgan. This year was also a good year for Jack who was introduced to my team. My trainer Jos Edwards, My mother and I grew very confident that Me and Morgan were preparred for Affiliated Dressage. My first day of Affiliated Dressage was at Marian Bach and I did 2 tests a Prelim and a Novice. The day was quite soggy with showers coming and going. But to all odds me and Morgan kept our concentration! Lucky like I mentioned in the Eventing section that he clicked. I was told by a very good Dressage rider and Trainer Tracy Olmrod that it would take weeks and weeks of hard training and silly arguments in the arena where he would shy at the white boards and jog untill he would finally click. And he did! It was and enormouse differnce. It was as if Jos was in the ring with me. We worked so well together and he was more relaxed and fluent in the corners and transitions. So when we where at Marin Bach Morgan worked a Dream. I had wonderfull comments after and got an acceptable 65%. Also towrads the end of the year I did my first ever Elimentery test ever! Elimentary 50. He worked really well even though he was shoeless and the arena that was used was quote tight. I got a pleasing result of 180 and came second to Alice Olmrrod on her beautifull stallion Chinoor Democrat. Also I cannot forget Morrigan shae whom was very well behaved in his Preliminary 13 and produced a good score that got us first! He was very forward, a bitt stiff on the right fain and a little worriedon transitions but I can realy feel the improvement in My little star! He has such a wonderfull tempermant and can be quite cheeky sometimes but he has his mothers bravery and his fathers good tempermant.
